Finally Updating our Blog - There's a lot to catch up on!

Hmm... Where to start? Well maybe lets start with the most eventfull and time consuming, Randy's thumb. So he has had this thing on his thumb for months now that just looked like a blister or cyst or something. So a month or so ago we lanced it and all it did was gush blood, we figured we should have someone look at it after lancing it 3 or 4 times and all we got was a lot of blood. We took him to the UVU health clinic since he isn't on my insurance yet and with all the many trips and prescriptions and things they have done to his thumb it has only been $10! Anywho, So the first trip we figured they would just look at it, not know what it is, and have us come back when the doctor was there. Oh no, the Nurse Practitioner came in, looked at it, and then said, " Well, lets go dig around in it a bit, ok?" So much to our suprise she numbed it, then sliced it open with a scalpel, we warned her about the blood, that didn't stop her, she then continued to get tweezers with like jagged edges on the end and dig and scrape inside this thing on his thumb. Gross, even I had to sit down, gushing blood, tugging on the skin, it was pretty discusting, good thing I'm not doing nursing anymore. After digging to the bottom of this thing she found a wart. Apparantly it was a wart that never grew to the surface and so his body encapsulated it and was treating it as a foreign body. After all of this she decided his thumb was too irritated to freeze off the wart and so she just wrapped it and it ended up getting infected. We have been visiting her for the past few weeks almost 3 times every week just for her to take a look at it and try to freeze the wart off. She also advised him to try picking off the scab so that she wouldn't have to do it and hurt him more. Sunday he began picking at it and after a few minutes of that it started gushing blood again! It had pretty much grown back to the size it was when we first took him in. So after about half an hour of trying to get the bleeding to stop and Randy getting light headed from the loss of blood and sight of all of it we were able to cut off the circulation to his thumb and wrap it quick enough to avoid any more squirting of blood. Here are some pics of that event.

See the STREAM! And there was alot more blood than this too!
So that should bring us up to date, we went to the doctor on Monday and she attempted to freeze the wart and just ended up making it bleed more, after numbing it again and cutting off the circulation she managed to freeze the skin above the wart to stop the bleeding. Thursday he is going to see the Doctor there and see if she can get down to the wart to finally get rid of the dang thing!!
On another note...
- Halloween -
We decided we didn't really want to do much since the past few years we have gone all out on costumes and everything so we just went to a party the night before and threw together quick costumes as Edward and Alice Cullen from the "Twilight Series" We had teeth and everything but they didn't stay on very well and they were really uncomfortable so we really just ended up looking like deathly white, sick people dressed up. Oh well, other than our boring costumes the night was pretty fun, it was on La Caille property at Randy's friends Rachel's Cabin. Tyson and Adrienne joined us, she was supposed to be where's waldo and Tyson was a punk guy!

CLASSIC SKATING

Last weekend we got to hang out with Michelle and Sheldon, they got a sitter for Asher, so we were able to go out to Classic! It was really fun, it's only my second time going and I always have fun, it's a good workout and fun to watch the younger kids flirt with each other haha.

Cute Sheldon and Michelle

Oh so Fun!
I also had some cute pics of our dogs so I thought I would share - They are so adorable and we wouldn't want to live without them!

Bella is HUGE!! Probably around 10 lbs now, Fitch is only 3.5lbs.!

Bella after her 1st grooming, she looked so cute with a bow I had to take a pic while it lasted!
We should be getting our 'official' wedding video back this weekend so I think I'm going to try and post it on here if that interests any of you! We loved it, we thought it turned out really good!

What an eventful weekend!

So this past weekend was very eventful, we were busy busy! On Friday night we went out to dinner with Dallas and Angie and Derek and Nicole to TGIFridays which was pretty yummy. After dinner we met up with Josh and Katrina, Josh is one of Randy's old mission companions. We love hanging out with Josh and Katrina, they are too cute, we probably haven't seen them for a year, besides at our wedding! Way too long. We actually haven't seen Dallas and Angie in a long time either so it was really good to see them again as well. Anyway, so once we met up them we went to Boondocks which is always a blast, especially with three other couples! We did some miniture golfing then headed to the go karts! We were lucky enough to be able to sneak on for a second ride, and Angie had NEVER riden go karts before! I couldn't believe it! They are my favorite!

So on Saturday Randy and I headed to Lagoon for 'Westminster Lagoon Day' with Tyson and Adrienne, it was really fun, we got in for way cheap and got a free lunch! I love going to lagoon though and I really love riding roller coasters, especially Wicked, it is very exhilarating.

After the exciting day at Lagoon, Randy and I were off the cater for his dad. This was definitely different than the normal weddings his dad does. He got the opportunity to cater the Dew Tour After party! We were to serve orderves in the VIP section, where of course you could find various pro skaters and bmxers, of course the only one we knew was Ryan Schekler because of his show on MTV. And yes, he was there, with a couple of his friends and his little brother, Ryan is a lot shorter than expected, wearing lots of bling and of course drinking beer at the age of 17 or 18. Gotta love the underage drinking 'celebrities' get away with. It was probably my first real 'celebrity' citing though, I was quite starstruck. Randy had to remind me we were working and it probably wasn't a good idea to ask for a pic. I also kinda figured he had enough girls throwing themselves at him. Besides the siting we got a couple free tshirts to wear and some other free stuff, it was pretty fun to be in the VIP section!

Sunday has arrived and we don't have too big of plans but I did finally convince Randy to let me dye my hair dark again! YAY! I feel like my old self again, haha jk! Other then that exciting moment we headed to his aunt carrie's house for his grandpa's birthday, we ate yummy food and caught up with everyone.

We finally came back home to Provo and were by ourselves, and as exciting as this weekend was, I was so happy to have my husband to myself again! I can't wait until next weekend to spend all my time with him by myself, just hanging out together. It is our favorite thing to do and I definitley live for the weekends when we have the opportunity to spend quality alone time together!!

Labor Day Weekend

This past weekend my mom and sister headed down to Provo before they drove to Texas. It was pretty fun, we ate at Olive Garden which is my favorite, I eat there anytime I can convince Randy to take me there!

On Saturday we went Laser Tagging with Randy's highschool friend Dallin. Dallin and Randy were pro getting in the top 8, while I luckily ranked 27 out of the 31 that played, all I have to say is at least I didn't get in the negative!! Woo Hoo! It was really fun, we haven't been in a while and it is definitely a fun workout! Now if I can only find enough people to go paintballing! It's much more painful but ten times the fun!

Sunday we didn't really do much, just went up to Centerville to play Wii, we played guitar hero and rented a MLB baseball game which was pretty difficult at first, I actually beat Randy in on game! Of course he dominated the rest of them though, I still won't let him forget that I at least beat him once, even though he says he 'let me win.' I love his competitiveness, well sometimes, haha.

Monday we headed up to Park City with Randy's parents for lunch and strolling down main st., it was FREEZING!! I only had capris and flip flops while everyone else in park city was wearing ski coats and winter boots!! All in all it was a very fun trip, we hadn't been up there for about a year so it was good to go up there again. Also on monday our good friends Michelle and Sheldon welcomed their first baby boy, Asher Gera Masias, he is a cutie, and so big for Michelle's tiny body, we get to go see them next weekend so we are looking forward to that!

Oh and of course last wednesday Randy got the priveledge of returning to the new UVU. Randy should be done with school in about two years, I'm so excited for him to be done. He is going to do amazing with the major that he is getting in Broadcast Journalism, it fits his personality perfectly! I am really happy to be taking a year off before my program, I have gone to college every fall/spring semester since I graduated. It does feel a little weird though not being a student, I'm already getting a little anxious to start my program. A girl I work with started the same program this semester and hearing her stories defenitely gets me excited!

I am going to try to post some more pictures from over the summer too!

Summer is coming to an end...

So after looking at all our friends blogs I finally decided it would be a good activity for me while I'm bored at work and a good way to keep up with all my friends lives.

This summer has been quite eventful:

Nicole's Wedding -

Nicole got married to Casey almost exactly a month before us. It was gorgeous, I was so sad that I wasn't able to go to the temple and see them come out! But we definitely made it to the reception that night, it was so pretty and of course Nicole looked beautiful as always! They looked so happy together and I am so happy for her! We actually jsut found out they will be having a baby in April, how exciting! I can't wait to be able to babysit :)

O U R W E D D I N G -

My decision to get married in May was partially because it was much less likely for it to rain, but lucky us it decided to rain the entire week! It's ok , it did let up a little during Temple pictures, but it was FREEZING, I'm sure nothing compared to a winter wedding though. After the Temple pictures we had a luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, it was so yummy and so filling, I never thought I would eat so much on my wedding day, thankfully my dress still fit! The luncheon was so fun and relaxing, I think it's true what they say about not worrying about anything on your wedding day! After the luncheon we only had maybe an hour until we had to be at La Caille for our ring ceremony, Randy and I dropped off our stuff and the Anniversary Inn as my mom and grandparents ran home to try and remove the huge stains on my dress from the dirt and rain. The time comes around where the families were supposed to be at La Caille for pictures and of course there was a mix up in the times and nobody showed up, no dress, no family, nobody to take pictures with. Everyone arrived late which wasn't too bad because by the time they got there the rain started to let up again and the sun started peeking through the clouds, perfect for outside pictures. The ring ceremony eventually started and I was so nervous, walking down the isle to my husband was so amazing, and his brother gave an amazing talk! Once all that was over Randy and I took some more pics, then got down to business. We ate some delicious food, cut the cake, bouquet toss and Danced the night away!

I wouldn't have changed a thing about our wedding, it was the most amazing day of my life!

Honeymoons -

We sort of got the priveledge of two honeymoons, the day after the wedding we headed up to Sun Valley, Idaho for a relaxing weekend at my uncle's condo. I'm so glad we got to do that because if not we probably would have been too tired to enjoy our real honeymoon! Pretty much all we did was sleep and watch TV. On the way back we also got a speeding ticket, how nice of Idaho, there are suprisingly a lot of cops for such a long empty freeway. Anyway, we left for our real honeymoon a couple days later; we flew down to Miami, Florida to board our cruise ship. I had never been on a cruise so I was pretty excited for it, we were headed to the Bahamas, which are gorgeous! We had so much fun just hanging out, eating tons, and playing in the sun. We also got to swim with stingrays on the cruise line's private island, it was quite an adventure!

The rest of the summer -

We went to vegas with our friends Sheldon and Michelle and Dallas and Angie, we rented a van and drove down there, it was way fun, car sickness and do-re-me's. It was a blast!

We made a trip to seven peaks which was really fun, some of the slides are so scary and very painful. We also got to go boating a few times with some of Randy's friends, it has been so fun, we got to wakeboard for the first time this summer and I forgot how fun and tiring it was! Nothing much has been happening this summer just enjoying married life and hanging out with friends!

I will hope to keep up with the blogging, I don't feel that our lives are too exciting but I'll make sure I keep updating every now and then with pics and stories.
